…sell your stuff, the world is ending (again)

So, I’ll start off by saying that I am not a religious individual. I do, however, love to listen to Harold Camping and have done so for many years. I find his choice of words, tonality and pedagogic approach in sharing his views with those that will listen – brilliant. He is of course dead wrong in his conclusions, but it is fun listening to how he got there…

His approach to being fully committed to the extent that he is 100% sure of our collective fate, even after his 1994 doomsday prediction came and went – is the point of this blog entry. Previous postings have touched upon being fully committed, pressing forward and driving for results, leadership from the front…etc. The kind of commitment being displayed by Brother Camping is the antithesis of decency and rational leadership.

The above approach is nothing short of modern-day Hubris (definition: indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one’s own competence or capabilities, especially when the person exhibiting it is in a position of power).

People should take note that on the morning of the 22nd, there will be an excuse as to why this particular prediction did not come to pass…and another date will be set by this former Engineer turned prophet.

Lead your people with facts and experience, coupled with intuitive decisions….

…make wise choices
