…cleaning a dull knife

How much effort does the average person spend on polishing presentation of their ideas so that they are conveyed in a cogent and concise fashion? The answer is, not enough. I lost count, how many times I have seen good ideas die on the proverbial vine due to them not being presented properly. Now I not advocating that individuals/teams spend hours and hours on fine tuning content – I am advocating that they spend time ensuring that the spirit of the message is delivered within the time/audience constraints that are usually present.

I have seen time and time again that many people, after leaving a presentation, take away what they want to – which is usually not what the presenter intended. The message is;

1) Be clear to purpose

2) Be concise to message

3) Be passionate to delivery

…make wise choices
